THE STORY
It was the Orokin Era and the war between the Orokin and the Sentient was at it´s peak. The Sentient had overpowered the Orokin race, leaving them desperate for a way to shift the balance of the tide. The Orokin turned to the Void trying to find a solution, a way to harness its power and create a weapon capable of surpassing the Sentient elite forces.
After the Zariman Ten-Zero spacecraft accident in the Void, that gave origin to the Tennos, the Orokin created the Warframe, a parallel technological killing machine who´s synergy with the Tennos allowed them to fight back the Sentient pushing them to the brink of defeat.
Lead by Magullis, the Tennos had become a force to be reckoned with, their fighting skills were unparalleled in the Orokin Empire and they were starting to be seen as a threat to the Empire, so the Orokin decided that the Tennos should be killed. Margulis opposed to this decision disobeying some not entirely disclosed Orokin laws in order to defend the Tennos resulting on her imprisonment and later execution. Margulis was considered, by the Tenno as their caretaker, this act provoked a revolt against the Orokin and the Tennos betrayed them.
With the Tenno´s revolt, the Orokin became desperate, once again, and decided to create a new kind of Warframe in order to fight the Tennos. They created The Anótatos.
The Anótatos were an evolution of the Warframes used by the Tennos, they had Artificial Intelligence, enhanced abilities and were programed with advanced tactical combat skills. They fought against the Tennos in a war that lasted years, resulting in the defeat of the Orokin, the extinction of The Anótatos and the destruction of Lua, the base of the Orokin Empire.
Over a century has passed and Lua has suddenly reappeared. This strange event didn´t go unnoticed in the Solar System, catching the attention of all Tennos. In order to investigate this event, the Immortal Four parted on a reckoning mission to look for the cause of this reappearance and to find if it posed any threats to the Tennos. What they found out instead surpassed every expectation, a discovery that would change the fate of The Orb clan itself. In the wreckage of what it used to be the treasury vault of the Orokin Empire, the Immortal Four found a severed damaged, yet still functional, Anótatos. Due to his high degree of damage, the Anótatos was unable react to its basic instinct, kill the Tenno. Realizing on the importance of that discovery, the Immortal Four became aware of the huge potential that the Anótatos possessed and all the benefits it could bring to The Orb clan.
The Immortal Four parted on a new quest, a quest to find relics that contained advanced technology that could allow them to restore and reprogram the Anótatos. Several years have passed and the quest is finally over. The Immortal Four have, finally, been able to restore, to reprogram Anótatos and give him a new assignment, to protect and secure all the treasures of the Orb clan against every threat that we may encounter. Thus The Vault Keeper was born.
